Hello Summer!!   I was very impressed by our young speakers at Friday night’s graduation ceremony.  Now, to finish up the paperwork for the 07-08 school year and dive into summer.

Today’s appointment was with a doctor in Travler’s Rest.  Of course, I couldn’t just go to the doctor.  My friend Dianne and I had breakfast at the Hummingbird Cafe in Laurens.  We stopped at a hardware store (Laurens), a thrift store (Mauldin), and produce stand (Travelers Rest) before my appointment.  Afterwards we enjoyed lunch at India Palace. (mmm…chicken saag hot for me and grilled chicken salad for her.  The coconut soup was delicious.)  Spent some money at Garner’s and Barnes & Noble. Visited the LifeWay store but couldn’t find the DVD Dianne wants.

Chuck and I visited the farm for a little while, admiring the newly-purchased wood cookstove.

I have managed to spend some time on that school paperwork …. it’s close to done.

 

**** There is one terrible thing about today ***

My PGR brothers and sisters were providing escort and attending the funeral of Sgt Leimbach.  I couldn’t be there.  If I changed the doctor’s appointment it would have be wait until July, and that wasn’t smart.  I really would have preferred to be in Landrum and Anderson.
